only got 20 inches of space!! 21.5" or 24" inch monitor!?

im looking for a new monitor have a few in mind that i can buy but my desk is only 20 inches wide about 4 iphone 5c's across. so would it be better to get a 21.5" or 23.5"/24" monitor

Get a 24 inch monitor, if there is nothing at the sides of the desk. I find anything lower than 24" just isn't big enough, although its only a few inches smaller it makes a difference.
