Question Only half of ram usable. 16GB ram (7.95GB Usable)

Can somebody help me fix this?

My specs:
- Nvidea gtx 1660

• Ryzen 5 2600
• G,skill 16GB Ram (8x2) 3000mhz
• Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H

Tried msconfig already.

Were the modules purchased separately or as matched set (kit)?

Try each memory module individually per the applicable motherboard's RAM installation and configuration instructions for a single module.

Determine if one module or the other is defective.

If both modules work individually, double check the current installation configuration with respect to dual channel RAM.

Already tested both and everything seems to work

Also saw where this was a bios issue on a Gigabyte H170 board, Do you have the latest Bios?

Also you could run Memtest86 Memtest 86 http://www.memtest86.com/technical.htm

If I install the last version of Bios the pc only shows 8 gb of ram.

Maybe you need to go back to the previous bios. What Bios do you have now?? Some times they put out Beta Bios that is not ready for prime time!

Memory modules purchased as Singles have no guarantee to work in any configuration other than as a Single module. This means when you combine two, the memory may no longer be able to operate at rated specifications.

What if you load BIOS “Optimal Defaults”?
They should both work at JEDEC default settings.
