Don't get GTX 465... I've heard it's a very unstable card. 460s, if at all. Your PSU looks fine, and it should handle 6950 or SLI 460/465s without any problems. I'd say, get a single 6950 or a GTX 560 Ti now and later you can add a second one, if you'll need to.

Can you post the rest of your specs? What resolution will you be playing at?

How old is the PSU?

The GTX465 SLI is more powerful than a single 6950 but their are many drawbacks. The GTX465 SLI will create a ton of heat and use a lot of power for the small performance gain over a 6950.I would reccomend getting the 6950 for the better DX11 support and the improved crossfire scaling. Some day when you have the money you can always add another 6950 for crossfire which is way more powerful than a GTX465 SLI.

What are your full system specs?(CPU,RAM,etc.)

Don't buy the 465, i know from my own experience it is a unstable and very unreliable card. After 1,5 years of mostly frustration ( crashes, booting problems etc ) it just died on me ! ( GTX 465 = downgraded unstable 470 )
It is a nice card though ( specially in Sli ) when you want to use your pc as a heater.
Maybe get the 6950 2GB. Or two 6850 and overclock them to 6950.

This is a better card for a couple of reasons..

From experience with both, the Sapphire card is cooler and runs quieter. They both come with the free Dirt3 Game, but at lease the Saphire card does not look god awful butt ugly. I mean seriously? What were they thinking putting a color like that.

Go with the sapphire instead and get another down the road when it starts to struggle.

if you can afford it your on the right track.......instead of those 465's(the gpu that should have never been) go with 2x 460's in sli....they'll smoke a 6950(single anyway) and in most cases perform right on par (and better sometimes) than a single 580!!!

sounds very nice! Ha yeah vegas isnt exactly cool but def not as much humidity as where youre at. Yeah 1.5 miles in the heat with dogs is pretty darn good. Im gonna try to bust out 2-3 outside if I can :) I'm enjoying no kids :) have a good one!

true but it seems like everyone is crying about not having to 2 gigs of VRAM, "well jeez the gtx 570 is just so slow bc it only has 1.25 GB of vram", what clowns; most of these people don't even own a graphics card anywhere near this performance so how the hell would they know?

You can get a gtx 570 for cheap these days AR and for that matter you can get a gtx 560ti for 220-230 or less

It probably depends on your luck then, i had an 465 with enough power from the psu, temps were doing about 77 and still i had a lot of problems and it died on me after just over one year so . . .

560 Ti or 6950 (which lets you unlock it to 6970, as far as I'm aware)... then add a second one in a year (will probably cost $100, lol) or half a year or upgrade to a totally new card. That's what I did/will do - nothing better for $250 range, IMO.
