I Just recently purchased a new SSD and it's arriving this Friday, and now i'm looking for a way to move only my OS from my HDD to my SSD, i've seen many ways to migrate your data to a new SSD but it either requires to wipe your HDD data or to move all your data to the SSD, but i only want to move my OS to the SSD since i have a lot of important stuff in the HDD and it haves 700GB of space used and my SSD only haves 240GB

Is there any way i can only move the OS to the SSD without moving all my data? , Thanks for the help!

My HDD is a WD Blue with 1 TB of space
and my SSD is a Kingston SA400S37 with 240 GB of space
(Sorry if my english is bad, it's not my main language)

Solution
Just go ahead and unplug the HDD before you install the SSD, install windows on the SSD, and plug in the HDD after.
Leaves all your old data in tact, and saves headaches trying to clone just the OS.
