Hello all,

Ive got an issue that is seriously annoying me now. ATLEAST once a day my internet connection drops for a few minutes and comes back up.
Since i was using an old router i figured it would be that. So i went to the store and bought a new router. However this did not fix the problem. So i figured it might be the wireless card i had installed in my computer. Bought a set of PLAs to fix that issue but still no go. SInce the only thing that comes across my mind is the actual motherboard being broken for some reason, i replaced that aswell.
However this STILL does not fix the problem and im out of ideas. Im really getting tired of my connection dropping when im gaming for example and thus why im asking you guys.

This happens only to my PC. My laptop, my moms laptop, my bros laptop, and my moms PC work fine and dont lose connection. Even when im sitting in the same room with my laptop, the connection is fine.

So i hope you guys can give me a few ideas that might help me out.

Regards,

Try changing your wireless channel (frequency) A lot of devices run at 2.4Ghz, and I've seen it interfere multiple times with a wireless connection.

Log into your router and find the "wireless channel" open, and experiment and test to see if any of them give a stable connection to your PC.

Hope this helps

I dont have the wireless network card installed anymore. So thats not the problem. My computer is currently connected to my router via Power Line Adapters.

However when i did use the wireless card i did change the frequency with little effect.

Hmm. That would mean you're losing all network connectivity. Try resetting your netsh with the following commands in command prompt.

netsh advfirewall reset

netsh branchcache reset

netsh int ip reset

netsh winsock reset

Run each command separately, making sure your running administrator level in CMD prompt

Then restart your computer and test.

I reset the netsh but i still lost connection.
I did notice however that my PC in fact stays connected to the router. IP adress stayed altho it may have been not updated before it connected again.

Try running an endless ping test and see if you ever lose connectivity to the router itself.

Ping X.X.X.X -t

Replace X's for the IP of your router (if you can't find IP of your router, type in ipconfig in CMD prompt and it will be your Default Gateway)

Sorry for the late response.

Ive just done the Ping -t to my router and it times out. Meaning its something between my router and my PC. However the problem is that the only thing between my router and PC are my PLAs which work fine. LEDs light up properly.
