Question Only one channel of RAM is working

I recently finished building my PC, and am having a problem with dual channel RAM. My RAM only works in the channel B, the two closest slots to my CPU. If I try to place it in any other configuration, the yellow light on my motherboard lights up, indicating a DRAM problem, and doesn’t boot, but the RGB on the RAM lights up. I have tried reseating my RAM numerous times, reseating my CPU (there are no bent pins), clearing the CMOS, and clearing the CLRTC. Nothing has worked. I have also carefully inspected all the ram slots with a flashlight, everything looks fine to my naked eye. What could be the problem?

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A
RAM: Corsair Vengeace RGB PRO 3200mhz (2x8)
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

You check in your bios to see what version your running then head to the mobo site and see what is offered.

my bios says 2403. not sure where to find the bios info on the mobo site

You update the bios.

Yes give it a shot see if anything has changed.

If there is no damage to the cpu pins or the socket then I would think you have a mobo/cpu problem.
