Only one fan ever spins ||| Asus Strix 970

Yes, I know only one fan spins when idle/under barely any stress, but no matter how hot the card gets, whether is be 60 degrees or even in the mid to high 80s, the second fan never spins up at all. I've tried with custom fan settings and I've adjusted them countless times but still nothing. I would have thought in the more demanding games that it would trigger the second fan but no, only the one fan spins and it seems to have some trouble keeping the system cool. Surely the card fan should at least turn on when it's borderline overheating?

You may want to contact Asus about this one.

When you manually set the fan to full speed does it start? You can test this with MSI Afterburner or similar(Asus GPUtweak should have a similar option, but I not tried it).

I have that same graphics card. Both fans always spin at the same time.

You have a defective fan.
