Only one RAM slot working

hi, I've got a problem with my RAM slot one is working and the other is not only slot 1 is working when ever i put either of the RAM stics in slot one the pc is booting up and everything is fine but when im trying to put them in the other slot it wont recognize the ram and if its the only ram installed the system wont boot up
 
Solution
There will be a little coin looking thing on your motherboard with a little clip on the outside of it, push the clip in and pull the coin out. This is your CMOS battery, leave it out for 10-15 minutes, then put it back in. This should clear your BIOS.

my motherboard model is gigabyte h61m-s2-b3
and the ram sticks model is kingston kvr1333d3n9/4g-sp
and how do i reset my bios
