Question Only One SSD will show up at a time. Why?

I installed a 500gb SSD, cloned it from a 120gb SSD. After cloning, reboot showed both drives. After another reboot, only one drive will show up at a time.

If I unplug one drive, the other will show up, but never both together. Both have the OS installed, and I assume both are "primary" drives.

They will never show up at the same time. Not in disk management, not in startup, not in scan for hardware, etc.

Is it because they're both primary drives and have the OS installed? Or something else?

What is the sdd you pluged? In m2 slot? If so when you plug an m2 in your motherboard some sata slots are disabled.

Not quite sure what you're asking. Both drives are plugged into SATA ports.

If you're asking what's plugged into the m.2 slot, I don't know. I didn't alter anything there.

I did, however, try to plug the SSD's in different SATA ports, every combination of port I tried did not get both drives to show up together.
