Approximate Purchase Date: within next month, could be next week if i find a good deal

Budget Range: under $500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mostly I'm going to be using this for programming. I'm learning new programming languages and practicing with them just trying to teach myself through books and online tutorials to see what i like best before going in depth with learning a lot about one of them. I would like to have a dedicated system for this to keep my family computer available for the rest of the family. The most video it will get is youtube or maybe a blu-ray. I would like to be able to have offline versions running on my computer so i would need to be able to run mysql, php, ruby on rails, apache, iis, "c, c++, c#" compilers, java, python, perl etc. I think you get the point of what programming languages i mean.

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitors, speakers (going to be ubuntu system so will not really need OS)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com, microcenter is also close and i can pick it up from there.

Country: best possible place they can be i don't know any better to be honest

Parts Preferences: best available with budget

Overclocking: Maybe nice to have as an option but not looking to anytime soon

SLI or Crossfire: I want quad monitors in the future but plan to start with dual. This is so i can have 4 screens up. (FTP, Web server, programming window, file system on computer) Anything that can make this happen without dropping more for the cards than the system itself I'm open to.

Monitor Resolution: best available

Additional Comments: I just don't want to get too cheap on this where it gets slow while running, id rather spend a few bucks more to make it "stable" and usable.

Everything i look at online gets such mixed reviews because it seems like most builds get centered around gaming. I wont be needing nearly the processing power in my opinion and the video card demand.

Ok so i took what you have and added all the items i would need to wish list.

Seems like a good rig for the price considering its bare bones like i want. Thanks a lot for the tip.
serial's design
https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=19858866

I took serial's design and added a couple upgrades for about $80 more is it worth it for the i5 compared to i3 and 8 gb ram vs 4gb? With that should i upgrade power supply as well, that was a concern for me with the i3 and 4gb? This still keeps me under the $500 i want but is it worth it to upgrade to this? It also seems like a big jump forward so I dont mind spending an extra $80 if its a good jump like it seems it is.

I also wanted to try at going for an amd and seems like i got a lot of decent parts for a good price here too since its only about $40 more than serial's design. Do i really need to get this big of a power supply like someone said in the MB review? I would think it would only need that much when using it real hard?

So I wrote this last night an forgot to post but this would be my basic suggestion:
CPU: Intel 2400 ($150 micro center)
Motherboard two options:
Go cheap with little upgrade possibility H61 ($50-60) (limited ram most only have 2 ram banks with a max limit of 8gb)
or
Go Z68 (route I would go) ($100) because: 4 ram banks you can use up to 32gb ram. Can use SSD caching later on to increase HDD speed. More PCIe lanes.
RAM $50: LAMP (linux, appache, mySQL, PHP) eats ram, so I wouldn't go below 4 preferably 8gb ram.
Case: Debatable but I like the antec 300 or 302, ~$60 and PSU corsair 430, antec BP550, or similar $40
HDD: Add the amount you think you'll need. Prices are still high so expect around $100 for 500gb 7200 rpm

I made a list on the egg but for some reason I can't link it >.<
Totall price $492 without monitor or OS
