Hello, i've got a bit of a problem with my pc.

Firstly, i had some graphics driver problems yesterday, this caused my monitor to go black and unresponsive randomly. i tried to update my drivers but i had little space on my 32GB drive so i had to delete some files (might be related?). anyway i ended up with 2gb space and i went to install it and halfway through the installation my monitor want black again and i could not do anything and decided to restart my pc. this is where the actual problem happens. i do my normal thing when the monitor went black again so i restarted but this time it would not boot up, instead, only the psu and cs rom start up, nothing came up on the monitor and there is only the green power led on the mobo. i have tested it without the graphics card and the same thing happened, then i tried with only one stick of ram and again, nothing. now I do not know where to go from here. any help would be appreciated.

pc specs:
gpu: gtx660
cpu: i5 3570k
mobo: asus p8 z77-lx
ram: 8gb corsair vengeance
psu: corsair cx750m

You got your awnser  I actually had an cx from corsair mine was fine but my best friend pc had as well a cx and he had a black screen... but he had warranty and corsair gave him a even better psu I got so pissed

Try using another psu or buy simply a new one from EVGA for example
do you see at least the bios screen ?? When you talking about not booting, are you talking about the system or turning the computer on at all ???

if you where on the point where you dont even see a bios screen and you think the Graphic card is not fried, could be a deffective motherboard, but if you have some bios screen could be that its only your Hard drive that gave up. What you could try is to boot in safe mode (If your computer gets that far) I think you need to constantly press F8 to get on boot up options but not sure you should google

nothing appears on the monitor, not even the bios. the only thing that happens is the psu fan spins up and the cd/rom starts up.

Oje thats a bad thing, my first guess is that your motherboard just dead or maybe the graphics. if you have a second pc with pci express and enough power you could try your graphic card. the only way to test if its really the motherboard is by replacing with a good one :/ could aswell be a power problem, but I doubt.

Edit: an Intresting post: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/295086-30-motherboard-dead

i have booted it up after about 30 minutes to try the safe mode thing and it booted up normally however when i tried to shutdown(to see if it would boot normally again) the fans would not stop spinning or shut down completely. i had to turn the power of at the socket to turn it off.

edit: holding the power button turned it off as well.
edit2: only windows shuts down not the pc.
edit3: i do not have any other parts to test with/on

thats some good news  so now what are the remaining problems ??

now its the graphics driver not responding issue however i do not know if that is still an issue. i will respond within an hour if anything happens.

One thing you could do for me is to check your hard drive smart status stress the cpu and see how the temperatures are

and check your whole windows system for trash corrupted files obsolete drivers, put everything up to date etc...

How do I check windows for corrupted files?

New problem: If you see my post history (if that's possible) there is a post from all the way back in march about power surge protection or something, that thing just happened about 5 minutes ago. My pc just shut off completely and restarted with the "american megatrends" page saying something about power surge protection. I feel like this has something to do with my power supply.
