Hi, on my laptops I can transfer at 100mbps between computers on my LAN with no problem. I have verified this by transfering a huge file and looking at the Networking Performance. It's utilized around 97% and achieving around 11-12 MBps, so I know I have no problems with duplex mismatching, etc. When I go to run a speed test online at Ookla, It maxes out at 35mbps... why? My desktop PC, which has a gigabit connection, is connected to the same router and achieved 125mbps on the Ookla speed test, so I know my internet connection isn't faulty. Anyone know why my 100mbps laptops on my LAN can't transfer from the internet at the correct speed even though they can transfer over the LAN at 100mbps with no problem? Thanks!

So you have 2 "very new" laptops and they don't have gigabit ports in the laptop ?

Just download files from steam or maybe microsoft.

If the laptop have gigabit ports then you have a bad cable. Bad cables can be very strange running 1gbit on some machine but only 100mbps on others.

Can you recommend other websites I should try that don't use Flash? I have tried 3 different laptops (1 older, 2 very new) and they all max out at 35mbps on the online speed test. I didn't think CPU power would be the culprit since the speed is consistent and yet they are all quite different laptops.
