Open file with problem

I have an problem that when i open properties for mp3 file and i select media player home classic
program to open the mp3 file the default program does not change

The only programs that i can choose between them is the programs who i have in the list when i open it
But when i select ( Look for other app on PC ) option and select a program .. Nothing change

It is also happening with torrent file when i try to set Utorrent as default program

This problem was not being happening before .. but i do not no what happen !

The 'open with' is temporary
I cant recall if 8 has the option at the bottom of the 'open with' diaglog box to make it a permanent selections ("always use this program" kind of thing)
You will likely need to make the change permanent in Program Defaults.
