OpenAI announced GPT-4o today, its newest flagship model based on GPT-4 performance at much faster speeds, and with UI rebuilt to be easier for users. Also a new desktop client, a Siri competitor, and expanded tools for free users.

Apple users won't care (especially as Apple plans for on device soon).
Likewise samsung already working on their own which will likely be liek apple and run on device in 1 or 2 phone generations.

I personally don't have any interest in voice assistant stuff ai or not but anything not run locally is a instant privacy threat as you are the product at that point.
