[SOLVED] Opening Linux USB

I have a colleague who has a USB storage drive which was formatted and used on a Linux OS but now he no longer uses Linux but wants to retrieve the files on the storage device which do not open when he inserts it into his Windows 10 laptop.

Is there any way to open the flash drive without access to Linux?

Download Ext2Read for free. Ext2Read is an explorer like utility to explore ext2/ext3/ext4 files. It now supports LVM2 and EXT4 extents.

Thank you for the insanely fast response. Would this work on a Mac too? His only Windows 10 laptop is for work where he has no security clearance to install anything.

The program I gave you is standalone, it doesn't require installing anything, you just run the exe. If that still doesn't work, I don't know much about MAC OS, but it should be trivial to add ext4 file system support. This article looks like a good guide:
