How do I open a Dell Dimension 8300 Computer Case?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Is it one of those stupid bookcase designs Dell is so fond of? If so, there will be a black button on the tpo and another on the bottom. Tip it on its side and press both then pry the case open as you would a book, only with a lot more force.

Open the case outside or in the garage because the computer will be full of dust and lint!
