[SOLVED] Operate a Windows 7 PC from my Windows 10 PC ?

Hello

I am using windows 7 as my software will not run on windows 10. I now need to buy a new pc which will run Windows 10. Is it possible for me to run the Windows 7 PC from the Windows 10 PC ? I would run AutoCAD on the 7 PC but control the program from within the 10 PC. I do not want two mice and two keboards and I want to switch between the two PC's and share data.

You can use built in RDP to connect 10 to 7. Or VNC would work too. Me, I would run windows seven in a virtual machine on the windows 10 box and just do that have everything in one machine

VMPlayer Has a free version that you could use to create your Windows 7 VM

I use TightVNC for exactly this.
Controlling my Win 10 HTPC from my main Win 11 system.

You can get KVM (keybpoard / mouse / video) switch and connect both PCs to single set of peripherals. Sharing is easily setup by sharing a folder or two on the PC.
