[SOLVED] Operating Drive

I'm on windows 10, home PC used for internet and MSFS, GTA, FIFA etc. I'm currently on a 1TB SSD for my main C drive.

I'm looking at move that to storage and get a new C drive. What's the recommended type of drive and what should I look for, for my type of use?

Why the desire for a change?
For your indicated use, the user facing differences between different types of SSD is pretty small.

If you like performance a M.2 NVMe drive is going to be awesome to have.

They even make larger sizes of those, so you can up the capacity of your C:\Drive as well, while doing an upgrade of that sort.

"M.2" is the format. They can be either SATA III OR NVMe.
The NVMe drive, such as a Samsung 970 EVO, are 'faster'.

But again, watch these vids.
"Faster" in the specs is not always faster in real life.

Cheers, so speed isn't everything. So while I want an extra HD for storage, I'm better off leaving my OS where it is and simply getting another SSD

Just add another SSD. Use it for whatever.

Given that one, I'd just add another drive. Leave the OS where it is.

Size and type to fit your budget and space needs.
