I just purch'd an mSATA ssd (made by Vaseky) to replace an ancient 40GB 2.5" ide HDD in an old Dell.
I usually use a utility program (like SpeedFan) to monitor various temperatures (like CPU or HDD). My old HDD produced dynamic temp. readings such as 50C to 55C.
But the new Vaseky ssd just reads a static "35C" (never changes).
Do most mSATA ssd's have internal temp. sensors?

On the naked kit, I put my finger on it to feel warmth ... and it definitely is above ambient. Not sure if it's the SSD chips or the 3-pin voltage reg. that's warm.
May have to get an IR probe on it.
