Hi,
I have a Dell XPS laptop running Windows 7. When I boot it up, I get a message that says "Operation system not found". After pressing a key, I have the option to choose a boot drive, run diagnostic tests, or go into BIOS. The computer passes all the tests, and changing the SATA operation to ATA from AHCI does not allow the computer to boot, but it does remove the "Operation system not found" message. The only hard drive in this computer is an SSD.

Any help would be appreciated!

I managed to get a Windows disk and when I ran startup repair, it couldn't fix it but it did tell me the root cause:

"MBR is corrupt.

Repair action: Disk metadata repair
Result: Failed. Error code = 0x45d
Time taken = 32448 ms"
