Question Opinion about ram 4gbx4 vs 8gbx4

Hello guys, I was thinking on buying new ram and before making the decision I decided to ask your opinion.
I am planing on upgrading the ram, since I have spent some bucks in upgrading my rig already.

Current specs of my PC
Cpu I7 7700k
Gpu Rx 5700 --> upgraded from gtx 1070 that died.
Mobo z270 msi sli plus
PSU Corsair rm750x --> upgraded from an fsp 550 couldn't afford a better one at the moment I bought the PC.
Ram 8gb 2400--> couldn't afford more or better quality.

I am planning now to upgrade the RAM, my options:
16 gb 4x4gb ballistix sport 2666 69usd
Or
32gb 8gbx4 ballistix sport 3000 150 usd

Reasons why I am looking 4 stick are Merly estetic, my case has tempered glass now and I was looking for white ram to look at. 4 sticks looks very nice in the PCs that I saw. I looked for rgb but they were too expensive.

My PC is just for gaming the work that I do hardly requires hardware.
Do I need 32gb and faster?
Is it worth to spend more than double?
I am open to other ram suggestions I can only buy in Amazon or Newegg. I am looking for white ram, but blue or black might work as well.

Without RAM speed being of real issue with Intel, I would consider the amount you actually need at the cheapest price. If you current usage brings you to 50%, get more.
