Hey guys so im going to buy my parts in couple days and wanted to know what you guys thought about the parts i chose before i purchase them. i am open to changes so if you think there is something better i can put in there then tell me. i am also hoping to play games at ultra setting without much micro stuttering that's why i chose the titan i am planing on getting a second one later down the line when the price drops. also i really don't like the mother board i chose so if you guys could reccomend another one that would be great. and the PSU as well if you could reccomend a better one! thanks in advance heres the link to my build:

I went ahead and went through your build and changed a few things for you. I'll explain why. I have a h100 its great it cools really well but I don't like the pump noise its the loudest thing about my build personally and I have a fractal r4 which is a silent case. I went ahead and suggested the NH-D14 because it will be quite enough for you unless you decide to get a custom loop which then all bets are out of the door. I don't mind the Titan card but just know its not the best value and you could easily just purchase 2x 670's which don't suffer from the same stuttering as the AMD cards in crossfire do. Also, never EVER! purchase retail versions of a OS the professional version of windows 7 can be found much cheaper at the OEM price. Also, I changed the motherboard because the main selling point of the UD4/5 is the thunderbolt ports which most don't use and I'm willing to take a gamble and say you don't either. Furthermore, I changed to the samsung 840 pro's personal preference plus I have more trust in samsung ssd's. Also, because I was cutting costs left and right I went with a the strongest 120hz monitor I could think of. And the Benq monitor I suggested has nvidia 3d surround 2 with light boost in the event you ever go 3D you have it. I feel overall you will be FAR happier with this monitor then the budget 120hz Acer monitor you had. In terms of the PSU I would say you are fine. I don't disagree with it. Overall I think you have a solid build and hope that if anything I've helped.

you have an awesome build man. there doesn't seem like there is anything wrong with it to me.

Well to be honest I'll nit pick at my own build here. I hate the brown PCB of my motherboard to be quite honest. I would love to put in a blue and black motherboard from either gigabyte or asus and then get custom sleeved cables in white or blue for my ax850. And I would probably change my fans to match the build but again being very OCD here 😛 Your build will kick mine very hard :) But that's okay I hope you enjoy it I wish my graphics card was pimp enough for just a word not a number.

haha if only things dident cost so much! thanks for all your help man! my parts have been ordered and are on the way.

hey man i finally got all my parts together and have been using it for 2 weeks. the screen you suggested was perfect it is amazing im so glade i spent the extra money on it. the titan is performing really well and the ssd you suggested was better then i thought. i did however get some extra money ( from a scratch ticket lol) so i ended up buying the asus sabertooth z77. once again man thanks for all your help!! :)

I'm glad you like the monitor its a awesome panel that is for sure :) I'm kind of jealous because that monitor is probably beast in FPS games. As well as the Titan man jeez 😛

Also right on with the sabertooth board. It's a bit overpriced however you do get a board that has gone through some pretty crazy stability testing. Also, it has really nice aesthetics so I'm sure the inside of your build looks nice as well.

What games have you been playing?

been playing metro last light and crysis 3 mainly. getting some insane frames on metro and im in the 80-90 range on crysis 3, also been playing some battlefield.

Yea i know the titan and the 780 pretty much match up, if you overclock it enough you could pretty much have the same performance but for cheaper. i was really pissed when i saw that they just announced the 780

Yea... The better value is with the 780 most certainly however, the Titan does a good job at being kind of a half gamer card and half workstation card. There are features that are turned off normally on graphics cards that are turned on with workstation cards and they turned it on in the Titan so that is why its expensive as well.

I recently played through Metro Last Light good game very scary at times. And man oh man whats with the nudity in that game man 😛

Crysis 3 was good but very short i had more fun in Crysis 2

And BF3 man I need to get back to playing that a little more I have the premium deal I haven't played the last dlc end game yet.

i know for a post apocalyptic game there sure is a lot of nudity lol 😛 yea i mean the titan is better then the 780 but the 780 is better bang for your buck.

Start using CUDA double precision though and you'll notice the difference. Its turned on on normal desktop cards plus how awesome is it to have a card with a name sure you can have a number but a name idk that's pretty cool. But for you yea there is always going to be that. When I bought my 560Ti's the 600 series came out and I was mad I ended up selling both my 560Ti's and bought a 670 😛

cuda double precision ? please explain how i could use this? also would it benefit gaming?

I honestly don't know much about it but with editing programs/professional programs you'd notice a difference I'll provide the article I was reading.http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-titan-gk110-review,3438-3.html

Hey got to microcenter.com and look up the i7-3770k you have to pick it up but it's only $212 I believe, actually here it is http://www.microcenter.com/product/388575/Core_i7_3770K_35GHz_LGA_1155_Processor

Hmmm seems interesting wouldn't really benefit me in gaming only because it disables my boost clock.

Not seeing how it disables your boost clock? They are the same cpus microcenter has the theory though that if they give you a cpu cheaper and you have to pick it up in store you will buy more, so they sell cpus for a loss.

true! but i read on the artical that it did disable boost clock maybe i misunderstood.

Right and boost clock is more applicable to gaming because when you do something intensive having your card ramp up for it is really helpful where in a workstation environment having that tech may be a stronger thing to have.

Hey man could I bother you for one more favor. Could you help me with this
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1687608/parts.html#10881519 it's my other question I posted on toms I need help with a budget work pc for one if my co workers his budget is $400 not a gameing computer just work and browsing the web
