Opinion on new build

Hey. I'm building my own PC for the first time, used for moderate gaming and other general tasks, but with recent games (BF4, etc.) I'm not looking for a crazy ultra-settings PC, but something decent that could run stable on high settings or so.

My budget is around £500. Please let me know if it's good and if I can make any improvements!

i made a few adjustments to have a better system you dont need 4670 unless its 4670k there will be very little difference from 4670 and the lower end i5 also dont need to spend $60 on a case so with the savings you can get a gtx 770 that will run any game on maximum settings.

Don't get a CPU cooler if you're not going to be overclocking.
I've replaced the CPU with a cheaper, but still good refresh 4440, the 4460.

I've dropped the cooler, and dropped the over-expensive RAM, to upgrade your graphics processor substantially.
The 650ti is a joke compared to the 760, the performance increase will be massive.

Thanks for this! Certainly looks like quite a bit of money saved. I wasn't sure about the CPU cooler but just presumed it'd help keep everything running smoother, compared to the stock one.

Also, what kind of PSU will I be needing for this? I only have a 500w Corsair at the moment which is enough for my 650 Ti, but I'm presuming I'd need something better for the GTX 760? And with that said, buying a new PSU will drive the price up quite a bit, right?

Any 500W that is a quality supply will power the 760 fine.
Considering your Corsair unit is probably CX/CXM/CS/CSM, it could run it, but those supplies use cheap capacitors and the risk of failing may be more than other supplies.

It will be fine temporarily, but I recommend you upgrade as soon as possible, probably to something like this.

Thanks for all the help. I'll probably end putting the 650 Ti (which I already have) and my current PSU in the new build for the time being, and replace with the new PSU and 760 in the near future.

Will it hurt to get the CPU cooler listed in my first build? I know I ain't overclocking, but £25 ain't bad if it makes it quieter?

It won't hurt but it is unnecessary and the stock cooler gets the job done.
