Hey everyone,
I'm just asking about everyone's opinion on my upcoming PC build that I have planned.

I want to make a Gaming PC with editing capabilities. I really want this PC to be as future proof as possible. My budget is around the $3000 price point (I live in Australia so prices for the components are crazy high)

The PC needs to be capable of 1440p Gaming at at least 60fps on games like:
Skyrim (with graphics mods)
Witcher 3
Battlefield 4
World of Warcraft/ The Elder Scrolls Online

My build:

Solution
Woah... Thought this was a US build for a sec...

Yeah, looks alright, though in my opinion MSI Z170 Gaming M5 looks better than the current Gigabyte motherboard. Oh, one thing: unless you plan on adding the GPU to a loop, don't get the stock NVIDIA version of the GTX 980 Ti.

All good, unless.

1. The Hitachi 2TB, usually people use WD Blue / WD Black (Best one, faster hardisk) or Seagate Barracuda (HDD)
- https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st2000dm001 (Seagate Barracuda)
- https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd2003fzex (WD Black)
- Caviar blue max only 1TB

2. Powersupply, Corsair gold is not a Tier 1 PSU,
- https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20850xr (EVGA Gold)
- https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ssr750rm (Seasonic Gold 750W)

Yeah, I actually changed my choice to a Seagate Hybrid drive as my intention was never going to have the Hitachi drive, just needed a price point for the hard drive

My main reason for choosing the stock GTX 980 ti was due to ascetics inside the case but performance/cooler wise i'm stuck between one of the EVGA ACX cards or the MSI Twin Frozr card

Well, it doesn't really matter if you change from Hitachi to Seagate and WD. Actually, don't consider changing to Seagate, as it's worse reliability.
As for the PSU, don't listen to the tier list. The CWT platform in the RM850i is one of the best performance you'll ever see today, competing toe to toe with Super Flower unit.
As for the aesthetics of the stock cooler... What? That's a first.

I am attracted to the Green "Geforce GTX" logo on the top of the card.
As for the Hard Drives, any suggestions on a good 7200rpm 2TB drive around the same price range as the Seagate?

I would change the HDD had to many fail
the rest of the system looks good ( its about the same as my setup ) but i have a samsung EVO 500 VS the HDD , i dont add alot of stuff in my system
i went with a Evga SuperNova G2 1000w was only 10 bucks more then a 850 W

Enjoy the build M8

How's the performance of the 950 Pro?

11sphere92- "2. Powersupply, Corsair gold is not a Tier 1 PSU,"

Actually that one(Corsair RMi) is a tier 1 PSU

"Tier One
The highest quality and most stable Power Supply Units available. Protected by industrial grade protection circuitry and can output wattage at a rated maximum temperature of 50°C or below. These units are also Haswell certified, meaning they can cope with the C6 and C7 sleep states of 0.05Amps without triggering the under-current protection switch. May even go over labelled wattage and still work until it safely shuts down.

So judging by all of your opinions, this would be a good looking, stable build?

Woots it seems i didn't read that part, Thanks for the info.
For me myself (Im using RM 1000W, as i remember before, its on Tier 2.)
Eh but, its RMi? different one?

======

"Hybrid Seagate"
Well, i don't really like and never used up an Hybrid hardisk, since my friend use it, and now it have a lot of problem. The disk usage is going up, when he doesn't even open any programs.

Looks good to me, good quality parts. If you like leds on the video card have you seen the Gigabyte Xtreme?

Can any of you guys offer a good ips 1440p monitor, Keyboard, mouse and pcie wireless card (preferably 802.11ac) that would have this pc sub $3800 maybe even $4000 depending on the monitor. Need a good comfortable mouse that has good performance in games and a nice backlit keyboard also preferably a gaming keyboard

My thoughts on the monitor is that I save a little longer and buy the ASUS PG279Q ROG Swift Monitor!

"It features a 27in 2560 x 1440 WQHD IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, 4ms GTG response time, Flicker Free technology, speakers, tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment, VESA 100mm support, 2x USB 3.0, HDMI, DisplayPort and more. Backed by a 3 year ASUS warranty. "

be something to look forward to
