Want to know what the community think about this build? Is there a possibility of swapping any parts out to cut cost without downgrading performance very much?

I think this is a better build for your money. btw, scrap that wifi card. get a huge ethernat cable and connect the PC to it. ethernet is miles better then wifi. anyway, here's he build:

I am not an overclocker myself as I don't see much benefits for gaming. This will last longer as the wear and tear on your system will be less, as well.

I'm assuming you have an operating system. 89.00$ windows 8.1 on pcpartpicker. Gpu is good i have a geforce 970 but its only has 4gb. I'm using a 256gb ssd and most games now are max 30 gb while windows 8.1 operating system takes less than 25gb's with all the updates.
-ssd i believe need 10-20% space not used to run correctly(have samsung pro ssd series 256gb) avg game space is 30gb(my 256 can hold 6 games
-500gb-(10%capacity(50gb))-(operating system lets go 8.1(25gb))=475 free space /40gb per game= 11.87 games you can store at any time. Lets say max of 6 games store leaves(475-240)235gb freespace for movies and such so a large movie is around 2gb so 117 movies and 6 large games with 500gb. Witcher 3 is 32gb.
-your mouse has 2000dpi I'd say that's good and its cheap (may want to buy a mousepad or something)
-can always splurge a bit and get a power supply with a better rating for like 10-30 dollars more
-ram sticks are good and you can always upgrade but I'd say just buy 1 8gb ram stick so if you decide to upgrade to 32gb ram you don't have to replace 2 slots.
-If you want some advice on Intel cpu vs amd the main selling point is less power used since amd is 32nm and intel is 22nm. But if you look at performance vs price you can probably get a faster amd processor for cheaper and then buy a better liquidcooler with the difference since it heats up more.
-Also Amd FX-9590 8 core 4.7GHz is(230.00$) but is 220 watts vs your cpu at 88watts.so you would need a liquid cooler
If you've read this far 220 watts is more power and a high energy price is 15cents per kilowatthour so if u ran intel vs amd the price difference per month would be (i5)88x24(hours a day)x30(days a month)=63,360wh or 63.360Kwh vs 158.400kwh (for 220 watt amd) so price at 15 perKwh would be
-$9.504(intel i5) vs $23.76(amd) per month
-Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition 3.5GHz 6-Core is 900 dollars atm and their selling point is less power and it runs at ((150w(x24x30))/1000)x0.15(high energy price perkwh)=16.2 dollars per month
So $900(i7 processor)-$230(amd)=$670.00/ 7.56(23.76-16.2)=88.6243386 months/12=7.3853615 years to make up the difference.
_-get an amd processor if you don't mind paying a little bit more in electricity bills other wise you save 14.256$ a month(withi5) vs amd's best processor atm. Or you can buy an i7 low end and take 7 years to justify the price.
Coming from a guy who almost bought an $1800.00 Alieneware X51 but then didn't buy it because paypal took so long to transfer money so instead built my own after finding this site and learning a bit. Btw went amd processor(corsair liquid cooler) intel ge force 970 gpu.... but an amd gpu would have been better because of the 8gb ddr5 instead of the geforce 970's 4gb ddr5 but geforce card had The Witcher 3 promo at the time....could have just bought at the store when it came out lol.

also for a gaming rig do not go spinning disk harddrive. SSD all the way for faster load times. One example of what can happen is playing Diablo 3 and your map loading when entering a nephalem rift when playing with others online. Your character appears to others in the rift area and your computer catches up to what everyone else already sees. Now if you are playing hardcore and you don't load fast enough there is a possibility to die before you even see anything if there a demons/creatures near your load spot. Also your computer boots faster and you can tranfer data faster to other ssd's in the future.
