My PC hasn't been upgraded in the past 5 years. It still holds up pretty well at 1080p with a mix of high/ultra settings with new games but I want to make the jump to 1440p 144hz and be able to take full advantage of that. I also do quite a lot of heavy video editing so increasing export/render time would be great.

My current rig now is:

Motherboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 3
CPU: Intel I7 4790K
GPU: NVIIA GeForce GTX 1080
Ram: HyperX FURY Series (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz
PSU: EVGA 750 W GQ Series
Monitor: BenQ 1080p Monitor

I'm pretty much looking to improve it on every front. So basically I'm thinking of replacing pretty much everything. Motherboard, CPU, GPU, ram, etc.

The parts I'm looking at now are:

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
GPU: RTX 3070
Motherboard: MSI B550 Tomahawk

I'm not sure what ram I should go for, although I know I want faster and more than I currently have now because I often see it reach 100% usage when exporting videos. I know the CPU might seem a little overkill but I think that'll come in really handy with video work as well.

What I would like to know is if this is a good fit to put together? Is there something else which is objectively better within the same price range I should go for? etc.
Any opinions and any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
