opinions on a pc case

It's a very nice case although i find the Phantoms look best in White, Do you need an optical drive? If not then the NZXT H440 would be worth a look. The 410 has lots of good cable management and drive bays for expansion.

I find the white versions to be a bit cheap looking, the plastic and metal colours do not match well. yes I have an optical drive, and will be mounting the NZXT Sentry LX Fan controller in other two drive bays. do not trust cheap looking one on case, and do not want to use software, so fan controller it is, am replacing all included fans too with corsair fans. I am thinking of removing the side vent to make way for a large full size window on the side, is this wise?

would love to get the H440, but I need an optical drive, and the fan controller is a must.

Hmmm, I have a white Phantom (full tower) which is now 4 years old and it still looks the part, the white plastic matches the white powder-coated doors perfectly so unless they have gone cheap on their paint jobs in recent years i don't know!

I suppose it comes down to personal taste, i just got sick of most cases being black or grey so went with white. Are you definitely set on sticking with NZXT? If you want a decent mid-tower sized case with a window and a few optical bays then the Corsair 450d is a fantastic looking and quality case if your budget can stretch to it.

I don't really know why I like NZXT but yes I'm sticking with the,m. I find their cases attractive and well designed, never had one before, but from the looks of them they are. I will admit I am quite stubborn, and so when I find a company I like I will stick be them.

Any fan controller I get from anywhere, seems to have a max of five fans to the unit. if I were to get the NZXT H440, which I would love to do, and get an external Optical drive, which is mainly for the OS and a few CD uploads, and then get the NZXT Sentry LXE (External Fan controller).

Could I put two 140mm fans on the front as intakes, and then two 140mm fans on top and one 140mm fan on the rear as exhausts. would this be suitable. could still maker use of an external fan controller, and could still use CD's. this would save me spending £40 getting the window cut and installed on the 410.

The H440 comes with 3x 120mm front intakes as standard but can support up to 2x 140mm fans. Yes you could also put 2x 140mm fans in the top or 3x 120mm fans. They also include 1x 140mm exhaust fan at the back.

The H440 is a very quiet case with lots of insulation, if you want clean lines and a window then it is probably one of the best cases around.

that's that then, you sir have swayed me. im going to get the h440 I think, black and orange one. will get external optical drive bay, and external fan controller. thanks...

Your welcome, with everything becoming digital you'll probably find you'll use the disk drive less and less as time goes by. Games wise it has been years since i last bought a disk based game.

as I say its ,more for the os, and some old CD's I need to out on the PC, I use steam for all my games, much easier and keeps them safer too.
