I recently saw an ad in PC Gamer mag for Ballistic Gaming PC. The prices looked pretty good so just for kicks I headed over to their site. I was surprised to see that they are a new US gaming PC maker that just recently started at the end of last year.
The prices seem to be really close to what it would cost to build an exact duplicate of any of their machines (I priced one out on newegg and it was ~$100 less to build. Some articles claim less of a difference than that but I only priced out 1 system.)
The thing I like about them is that they list the make of each of their parts rather than just giving generic numbers (ie. 1 Gig ram and not mentioning brand.) I also like the fact that they are based in Cali and I wouldn't expect any of my calls to them to be routed to India if I wanted to contact them.
Since they are fairly new, I can't really find any reviews/information on them. Anyone have any opinions/heard anything about them? Based on their pricing/components that they use, I am real tempted to just get my next PC from them. I've built all my PC's in the past, but if it's only a $50-$100 difference to have it all done for me, it's very tempting.
