Build Advice Opinions on Build for 1440p Gaming ?

I've been using a 1080p gaming build for several years now, that I also use for home office (Linux software development, by dual-boot). I've been upgrading it throughout (new graphics card, new storage, etc.). Unfortunately it's showing its age: slow read/writes (it uses a combination of HDD, SSD, and NVME drives with SATA speeds), sluggish performance on AAA titles even on 1080p, etc.

So, I'm investing in a new system that I will like for 1440p gaming, as well as home office (with dual-boot). My budget is not that strict (my birthday is coming up, and I'm fine splurging a bit), but the following configuration is around what I'm comfortable spending at the moment:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bVkYz6

It has two NVME drives, one for Windows install and games, and another for the Linux install.

So, first, I would like your opinion in terms of:
  • Configuration screw ups: will the GPU fit in the case? Is the MoBo connectors compatible with the case front end connectors? Is the RAM compatible with the CPU?
  • Viability for 1440p gaming: I like to have a performance buffer as a way of slight future-proofing. If it overshoots it, the better.
  • Bottlenecking: is the CPU/GPU combo a good one? Is the RAM speed adequate for the CPU/MoBo?
  • Cooling: my current system has an AIO that has given me anxiety since day 1 (what if the pump breaks? what if there's a leak? etc.), but, to its credit, it has performed well. However, for my sanity, I would like to stick with air cooling if at all possible.
Second, since I'm also replacing my current 1080p monitor, I would like your opinion on the 1440p I'm replacing it with in terms of price-to-performance. I'm not looking for an OLED experience (that's way over my budget), but I'm looking for something with quick response times and GSync-like capabilites.

Any comments/suggestions are appreciated.

Lower latency RAM, better case, psu and board.

If you can stretch the budget a bit as you said. I highly recommend this build.
All high quality components. Much better performance for 1440p gaming over a Long time.

1440p and 32" not a great combo. If going for 1440p stick to 27" size. And that

AOC monitor currently the Absolute best in that or even above its price bracket. That is true HDR1000 monitor. And Mini-LED one. Is highly rated and reviewed.

That monitor is Available through Amazon

Thank you for the suggestions, King Dranzer.

The 7800X3D and the 4080 Super, where I'm at (Mexico), are almost double the price of their counterparts, which puts them much above than what I'm comfortable with.

However, I will go with the DeepCool AK620 instead of the Thermalright Peerless Assassin, since it seems it would do a slightly better cooling job while being a bit less noisy.

Additionally, for the monitor, even though it is not in the Amazon store in my country, I'll definitely buy a 27" instead of a 32", for the pixel density.

I appreciate all of your comments, thank you.

I can actually get you full 5800X3D + RTX4080Super build Minus the Monitor for 41.5k Peso.

What you can do is use the old 1080p monitor for now and hold off on the Monitor purchase as that specific one is not available at the moment on New-egg as it is showing it to be out of stock. Purchase it as extra for that price. By end of the year.
