Opinions on Build

Hello,

I was hoping that somebody could give their opinion on a build I hope to be doing. I will use this for gaming, vr and general use. I'm not planing on upgrading it for at least 3 years.

- i7 6700k 4.00GHz
- Asus Z170-P Motherboard
- 32GB Corsair vengeance 3200Mhz
- EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 970

How do you guys think it will handle games at max settings and VR?

which resolution will you play?, I think for aaa games your GC is not your best option. How much do you have to spent. This components are a little old for what you want asuming do you want to play newer games

I will be playing at 1080p and my budget is just over £1000. I mostly play games like DOOM, Witcher 3 and Battlefield 1. Problem is I'm going to be using my 970 from a previous build to save money. All I will be buying is the CPU, RAM and Motherboard which all together comes to £800. I hope to get a 1070ti or a 1080 in the near future but for now I'll be using a 970. I am debating whether to go for a skylake 6700k or a kabylake 7700k as the 6700k is old now. What do you think?

I would ask you to consider the 8600k with the z370 if you can. More cores for the latest AAA games.

True, the 8600K would be a much wiser choice. If you have 800£ to spend on the cpu mobo and memory..
