The sound is not really neccssary since MB sound is prertty good now a days. Bes to build system and if not liking the sound quality, get a sound card then.

Aim for a 7200rpm drive with 64mb of cache as they perform better and are usually the latest generation of drives. Speed wise the latest seagate ones (7200.14) are the fastest.

For the ram, you might want to look to 1600mhz or 1866mhz ram sicne on intel systems, there is no noticeable benefit of faster ram use to the great Integrated memory controller.

For cooling the H40 will do worse than an air cooler. I would look to a Hyper 212+ Evo if you have the room in your case. If you want to stick with liquid cooled, I would consider the Antec 620, Corsair H55/old H60 and New H60. These oens can go on sale for about the same as the Hyper 212Evo. (grabbed my H60 for $30 which was like $2 more than a Hyper 212Evo)

For PSU look for brands like Corsair, XFX, Coolermaster (GX series or better ones only) Antec

I went with a enterprise drive do to their higher reliability (and better GB/price ratio) and speed is not as important due to the drive being cached.
List is missing the 20GB intel cache drive, the BD writer is on 12x, I left out he sound card on purpose, chose the hyper 212Evo (a similar performing liquid cooler right now would cost an additonal 20-30 quid). Firewire card i left out of list (can't find it)
