opinions on gaming setup desks

for the longest time now ive been using a 6 foot long plastic folding table as my gaming desk, it has worked pretty well for the most part but im looking to upgrade to something more sturdy, and not as disgusting looking as a plastic desk. i want to find a desk thats the same size or bigger than my old one thats 100$ or lower. any help is appreciated.

Walk around in Ikea
Ask where the desks are
Get lost
Ask again
Get lost more
Find them suddenly
Look for something you like
Buy it

if you are handy, you can easily make a rather nice desk for that price.

if not, ikea or something from a big box store.

i'm using a 7ft table i got for free which used to be a wood clothing display table from a local retail store. i'd have built one but i can not argue with the price and the fact that it doesnt look bad at all.

If you're in the US, look around at the many used and refurbish type stores.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc, etc
If you don't find something suitable, I'd be very surprised.

Have a friend with a truck to haul it home.
