opinions on monitors please

regardless of price what would be your choice and why?
Acer predator xb124h or Asus VG248qe

will be used for MMORPG, FPS gaming mostly
system in place is ryzen 5 1500x, 8 gb 3600 mhz ram, gtx 1060 6gb upgrading from 1080p @ 60hz acer monitor from about 7 years ago

The Predator is newer and has G-sync making it the better monitor.

what do you think of Asus MG248QR or the Samsung CFG73 series 27" curved monitor (C27FG73). as far as color, brightness, picture quality compared to the predator?

Acer and Asus are both TN panels so they will be similar picture quality. The Samsung is VA so it will should be a bit better.

ok...the asus is 269 for a 24", the samsung is 379 for 27", the acer is 499 for 27" im leaning towards the samsung but have seen the acer in person and it is great pic quality so im kind of on the fence and can not find a direct comparison video or versus webpage with these 2.

upgrading my son for his birthday
