Hey guys;
So I'm building my first PC & planning to get these in a week or so :

Case : NZXT H440
CPU & cooling : i5 6600k + Cooler Master 212 evo
Motherboard : Asus Z170-A
GPU : Asus r9 390 (non-strix :\)
RAM : G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 2400
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM
PSU : EVGA SuperNOVA 750W 80 PLUS Bronze
Monitor : Asus VS228NE 22" 1080p

PS : I rely only on my local store because if I ordered something from the internet it'd cost much more money and time (shipping, customs, taxes ..etc) .. therefore my options are limited. However; I can :
1- get an i7 4790k with a cheaper z97 mobo and RAM, it'll cost the same as the system above.
2- Or, i could get an i5 4460, cheaper H81 mobo, cheaper RAM and keep the stock cpu cooler. The money saved can be spent on a 1440p monitor. The 4460 is better for 1440p gaming than at 1080p if i'm not mistaken.

If you were to decide, which one would you choose ?

1 I would get the i7 4790K + 212 EVO with the Z97 board and DDR3 memory. If you get into streaming, video editing, rendering in the future this will give you the best performance.
2 Get the faster processors that will allow you to overclock in the future it will make your PC last a couple of years longer without needing to upgrade again. When the 4460 is not fast enough to keep up with more demanding tasks either of the 2 others can just be overclocked and you still have the performance you need. And any of the 3 processors will work just fine for 1080p or 1440p the video card is what maters most not the processor.

thanks for answering ^^
I won't do streaming, video editing or rendering 😀 there's no chance that i'd do any of these
so do i stick with the 6600k ?

If your not doing any of those just gaming then the 6600K would work just fine and give you the newest processor, You could also consider the i5 4690K with the Z97 board it should lower the price some.
