anything that needs changing/upgrading? the budget is £1000 (need a opinion on a case since i cant decide..maybe i can scratch out another £60 for one)

Solution
First things first, unless you plan to Crossfire in the future, swap out that PSU for a 550w XFX, or a 750w XFX is you plan to SLI. Also reduce that ram down to 2 x 4gb sticks, as you won't need 16gb when gaming. Also go for the Extreme4 board instead, as you won't see any noticeable different and it is cheaper. The Green drive is notoriously slow and you can get a WD Blue 1TB drive for £10 cheaper and is much faster! I'd estimate that you've saved around £90 here, which means you could grab yourself an EVGA 770 for £350 and still have cash left over!

You also have a little extra money to spend on the case, now. You won't need anything bigger than a mid tower. The case you want completely depends on your tastes. If you prefer a...

You also have a little extra money to spend on the case, now. You won't need anything bigger than a mid tower. The case you want completely depends on your tastes. If you prefer a generic, box-ish case, grab a 300r, 400r or 500r or a Define R4. If you prefer the more 'out there' cases, so to speak, then the Phantom 410, Storm Enforcer or Storm Scout 2 are definitely worth a look! :)

After this, if you have some money spare, I recommend getting a better cooler. The Hyper 212 Evo is good for the price, but I would get something like the NH-D14 as it's one of the best on the market and it only £60, currently. :)

Solution
If you do get a 770, you may want to get a 650w PSU, just in case.

Also, this card can run three monitors easily, but when gaming it's a very different matter. At least 770 in SLI would be recommended for three-monitor gaming.

so the 770 is better then the 7950? ok thanks.

hmm i dont plan on SLI yet because of the limited budget, but out of curioslty, would 2 lower price gpu's in SLI work better than 1 770?

thanks for the help with the case + cpu cooler :)

Definitely do not SLI lower cards. SLIing anything lower than a 760/660ti (or Crossfiring less than a 7950) is silly when you can get a better single card and SLI/Crossfire that later too. The best advice I can give is get the strongest single GPU you can currently afford. But yes, the 770 wipes the floor with the 7950 (well, about 10-20fps depending on the game). But for the prices here in the UK, the 770 is a great option.
