Will this system play nice together?

Looking to buy this week (from Ebuyer UK). Also would any of the components much cheaper elsewhere? All feedback would be much appriciated, last time I build a PC was around 4 years ago eeek!

The only thing I would ask is are you certain the H110 will fit into the case you have?

I couldnt see mount points on the top of the case, but I assume it has these. If you are hoping to install it on the front of the case, this might not be possible due to the HDD cage?

I think your right the coolers seems quite big, any other cooler you would recommend to fit on the back of the case?

I would say the rest is about right, im not certain which other coolers would fit into such a small case, certainly the H80 or H75 should fit nicely and give great cooling, or even a kraken.

They would both mount well as the extraction fan at the back of the case.

Many would say 16Gb of ram is too much and overkill, however if you host servers or do any kind of media editing, 16 will suit well, I have certainly pushed my system to beyond 14Gb of ram used regularly when doing these tasks.

Thanks for input. Ok, ill look into smaller coolers as I dont think I'll be doing much overclocking anyway.

Yea, I just checked out the review for the case on guru3d and it seems the HDD cage would block the use of a 110 or 100 cooler. A single single 120mm style should fit on the back of the 2 top fan installation points, but I am uncertain if this will invade space needed for your motherboard.

This would fit your H110 cooler. But it is larger to accommodate. I think you might need to go air cooling with the standard

edit: sorry i just realized theres two versions of the case and that's what you was pointing out, ok ill look into that thank you for pointing that out. :)

In that case, would a Corsair H90 fit the Hadron Air?

That particular case is unfortunately stuck with a 500w PSU, would you recommend any other Mini ITX case to fit a GTX 780?

How about if I run a core i5 instead? you think the PSU will handle it?

I think the Hadron looks much nicer/smaller/desk friendly. I think I will likely look towards downgrading the CPU/GPU. Which do you think I should downgrade? perhaps getting a core i5 or 770 instead?

Bare in mind I will be using the Corsair 80i as suggested. Also how about the mobo? overkill? I like the fact its got a wifi/bluetooth mPCIe card as standard 😀.

i just don't think that 500w will be enough still as the build consumes 500W or more when at full load so your PSU will be running at 100% all the time it doesn't rest.
If you can afford that CPU then its just wonderful because the i5 consumes as same as the I7-4790K for the GPU don't downgrade to a 770 because it kinda sucks for the price i would stay with the 780.

OK I'll look into alternative cases to get a 750w installed. Thanks again for your input. :)

Thanks for the advice, ok ill switch the PSU as per your recommendation.

Also do you know if the H110 would fit the 250D?

Good spot.

NO! The cooller will not fit. Compatible corsair coolers are as follows H55 H60 and H100i

Taken direct from the tech specs sheet. Sorry I missed that mate.

The H100i will do a stellar job of cooling your CPU, but the H110 is a 140mm set and the case only supports 120mm 🙁

This has benches showing the h110 vs the h100i. Not much difference. The H100i is just a touch louder (see page 7)

Awesome, thank you for your advice. I think the system is ready to be built!

Anybody know how to get audio to pass through the GFX card? I'm just about to purchase but just wanna make sure if I can hook it up to my TV for example if the audio will also pass through.

Back in the day I remember I used to use a two pin audio cable from the motherboard to the GFX card to pass audio, is this still the case with the Asus Maximus VI Impact and the GTX 780?

Sorry if I sound a little noob. ^^
