I removed my R9 295x2 from my computer because it was causing shut downs under load, currently using a temporary GPU, hoping it is not permanently damaged, I am planning to re-paste it and hope it will manage its core temperature, the reason why I think it is damaged is because prior to the shut downs, it struggled to play Halo Infinite on the lowest settings with the smallest resolutions, even though it should be able to

Preparing for the worst, I am in the market for a replacement GPU, even second hand and I saw that both AMD & Nvidia are retailing their new entry cards very soon

The GeForce RTX 3050 and Radeon RX 6500 XT, while the GeForce RTX 3050 is more appealing to me, on techpowerup.com it says that the Radeon RX 6500 XT is comparable to the R9 295x2?

What sucks is that these cards are not x16, my PCIe Bus is 2.0.

Looking to gather some insight before I commit to any of these
