Earlier today I was burning a linux distro onto a blank disc I had. However, something went wrong and it got stuck in a loop of burning and made no progress, so I had to forcibly end the burning process (stupid decision probably). After this, the disc drive has refused to acknowledge the existence of any recordable objects in my drive, be it CD-R or DVD-RW etc. it won't acknowledge I've put one in. It will recognize other media discs such as ones for video games but not recordable ones. I've tried cleaning the drive and the lens, but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?
