Optical Drive and Cooling unit

so here is my build so far http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2IYdf. I'm really not sure how to measure the quality of a cooling unit so any recommendations would be appreciated. Also a basic optical drive would be nice, so any recommendations for that. Cost is kept in mind, i'm not looking for anything extravagant, just efficient.

(Sidenote: I heard a few things about the weird form of ASRock mobo's. Is there any truth to this?

Buy the asus MB in the list, and the cooler is good but it is not the best, if you want get the hyper 212evo.
