Hello I have a dell xps 8300.

originaly 8gb ram (updated to 16gb which is max)
changed PSU to 650w.
changed game card to - 7870 2gb graphics card.

I ran a dell diagnostics online and it said everything was fine apart from:

DVD-RW DriveTSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653H Spindle Test

Which then said I needed to replace it. I think because I have updated my computer it cant take it. Especially when it only has 200gb left from 1tb. Can anyone suggest a replacement??

Solution
Have you confirmed if DVD drive can read & write cd & DVD
If it works don't worry if not open case to see if drive looks like a standard DVD drive with standard sata connectors or a half height DVD drive
DVD drives with blue ray readers are now much cheaper than a few years ago

Brand probably does not matter as long as it is a well known computer brand

Upgrading PC will not affect DVD unless you accidentally pulled on sata cables to DVD drive.
With power off pull cables off then on again both ends for data cable

Run disk cleanup to see if any space can be freeded up
If not get your self a new second hard drive or back up data to an external hard drive (esata + USB connections) to free up some space

200GB free is ok for now though...
