Optical Drive very slow

So, my optical drive is very slow, this is why I never really used it. If I put a disk (mostly a game) in it, it takes about 5-15 minutes until I can get into the explorer with all those files on the disk. It takes another 1-2 minutes if I want to make a click and again 5-15 minutes to open the setup. In between the explorer crashes several times or just does not respond. My drive is the Optiarc DDU1671S, I already tried to download drivers for it but they just won't open, even with admin permissions.

I really want it to be at least a tiny bit faster, is there any way to do so? I would be really grateful. Thank you in advance!

It depends on the speed of your drive. Your drive has 16x DVD-R which is pretty fine but I believe check the cables and maybe replace new one cause it might be old

The cables are just fine in my opinion. I didn't build it myself as well, so I think they might be fine.
I might have to replace it though if there is no other way

Why would you put games to a dvd drive? Have you tried ripping dvd contents to PC as a ISO file and mount it as a disk drive without needed an optical drive?

This might be the solution to all my problems. I have never done that, or even heard of that before. I will try it out, thank you
