I've posted this on Vista boards and thought I'd try here in case it's a mobo issue.

When I bring my system back from sleep mode my optical drives are not
recognized by Vista. I have to re-boot to get
my optical drives working. I've searched on this and found a couple
of references and downloaded a couple of hot fixes but nothing has
fixed it.

Does anyone have any suggestions? This is so annoying!!!

(see sig for my system specs)

I have had similar Problems with XP when I had 2 optical drives, in the middle of installing Crysis my DVD drive wasn't detected anymore and the install would fail. After it happened windows said my configuration changed too much and I needed to re install windows...I couldn't re install windows because I had a DVD copy of XP and it would not detect my DVD drive. After fiddling around a while I just unplugged my IDE CD drive and it worked fine then it detected my SATA DVD drive fine.
