What is a good setting for the original orange optical drive? Good performance and good lifespan of the original orange optical drive for the PS2 Slim? It is not reading DVDs, actually it is CD 342 and DVD 620.

Not all CDs or DVDs can be read on all drives.

Burn on Drive A might not read on Drive B.

About the only "setting" would be to burn it at the slowest speed possible.
Other than that, you are outta luck.
