Hi there everyone, I'm having a bit of trouble deciding on my pc air flow route and I was wondering if I could get your input. If there are any combinations that you think would be better than those of my diagrams, then please share those as well.

I definitely want the PSU directing air flow upwards (for aesthetic reasons) and ideally I want the rad push/pull directing air out of the case. Thank you for your time.

First, PSU fans pull in and blow out. Furthermore, with the bottom mounted PSU style, the intake fan for the PSU actually pulls from underneath the case, and blows air across the PSU and out the back of the case, so take the PSU out of your whole design.

Next, the best thing to do is trial and error for your setup. Everyone can argue about positive pressure to negative pressure and YOU MUST DO IT THIS WAY CAUSE I SAID SO ON THE INTERNET, but your own tests will determine the best setup for you.

I have redid my fans about 4 times and it's close to your #2 I would say, except because of my case, at the top it's my RAD, then fans on top of that pulling out instead of pushing out, but my back case fan blows cool air across my VRM's for overclocking then gets pulled up by my fans above my rad. I came to this setup by turn on my pc, letting it warm up, then running some stress tests like IBT, Prime, OCCT, Aida64, whatever you want but monitor your temps. Stop the test, let it cool down, test again. Shut down, play with some fan positions, test again. Play some games, test your GPU temps, play around again. What works for someone, somewhere online, may not work for you. #2 seems like a good setup, creates positive pressure, reduces dust and keeps cool air from the back moving across the VRM's/RAM/socket area.

I see, that makes sense, I'll adjust the images now! As for testing different combinations, I will do just that. I'm not 100% focused on min-maxing the temps, I just didn't want to make a big mistake that I might have missed. Cheers for all the help! How do I mark your comment as the resolution?
