Question Optimize for vmware

Hi,

Just built a new computer with a ryzen 3600 processor and 16gb ram. I want to run a program that require some load on the cpu and I want to run it on both the host and vmware at the same time.

What should I improve to make it run smoother? Would more ram be sufficient?

I would put 32GB on such a setup but that is just me. buecause when you set 4GB or 8GB of ram on your vm you dont have it to utilize on your server. so pump that ram up.

Ideally, you replace your current 16GB with a 32GB set.

RAM is only guaranteed to work in the sets they are sold.
Adding another 16GB may or may not work.

Not even if I have two of the same set? Just realized i have 3000 MHz, not 3200. Not sure if I can return them so Ideally i would buy another set. Model(sorry for large font, pasted and i'm on the phone) CMK16GX4M2D3000C16

Unless it is sold as a specific set and comes in the same box....maybe.
