Hello, on my PC I have been recently having an issue with wifi. My wifi connection has been very unstable (I use a usb wifi card the Linksys AC1200), and I believe it to be from the constant interference from my home router which is what I try to use, and then the optimum wifi which is seperate from my home router and is open. I forgot the network in my wifi settings, but the optimum wifi option still keeps popping up in my wifi tab. Sometimes it is so unstable I really can't even use my PC. I am on Windows 10 if you need to know, and all I want is info on how to completely block out "Optimum Wifi" from my PC, thanks.

Solution
Well the first question is if Optimum is on the same channel as you.

There are many wifi analyzer apps for iphone and android that will show you what channel your wifi signal is on and what others are on.
If yours and Optimum are on the same channel and Otimum is > -80 dBm (note the negative sign) then it is inerfering, and you need to change yours.

Outside of building a copper mesh faraday cage (for thousands of dollars) you cant just make the Omimum wifi signal not exist in the air for your PC to see it, radio waves do not work that way.
