I've used my Klipsch 5.1 computer speakers for a long time now and the controller just went out again. The sound is great, but I would really like to get past using their control box and move to something more standard (A/V receiver with 5.1 speakers).

What options and hardware would I require?
Would I just use the same 3.5mm outputs from the MB audio jacks (I have ROG Strix X570-E Motherboard, Realtek Audio) and buy 3.5mm to RCA splitters ? Was wondering if there is a better option with buying a separate soundcard and connecting in another manner to a receiver.

Overall, just looking for ideas.

Thank you.

Found the problem.
I had my setting for front and rear speakers set to large in my receiver. I don't think either WoW or LotRo has a dedicated sub channel, so my receiver probably didn't think the sub was needed.
I changed the speakers to small and the sub was activated in LotRo.
