Hello everyone,

So I wanted to check with the community before I went through with this. I ran into some trouble with my custom built pc. I have windows 10, and one 250 ssd and 1 terabyte hdd. I was trying to organize my files according to the drives sizes and programs, and one thing I wanted to try is to get the files saved on my hdd (like games) to show up in my system files (documents, music, photos, ect) so i could orgaize them better. I ended up making a big mess, and caused my music system file to be my ssd. So when I click on music it shows my ssd. I have tried multiple ways to fix it with no luck. Plus, the rest of my files are all sorts of disorganized to the point i have no idea how to sort though them...

So my question is if a factory reset or some different type of function could reset my system files so i could start fresh? I dont really have much data on my pc, i only have games which are backed up through steam. So im not really worreid too much about loosing files. I was also wondering if i had any other options besides a system wipe or reset? And lastly, do you have any recommended articles, guides, or books that i could look at to learn how to operate my own pc more proficiently? Such as how to organize my files more efficiently or easily; i guess i am more of a noob than i thought!

Thank you very much for your help.

If your whole file system is hosed up, often the easiest and fastest way is just to start over with a clean install.

1. You want the OS and applications on the SSD.
2. Having your Libraries (Doc/Music/Pics/Video) on the other drive is easy, if you do it right.

For Steam games, you can have them live on either or both drives
