Hey guys, my optiplex has everything i need for my gaming needs except graphics card. I'm on a very tight budget so I got an R7 260x for free from a friend. Problem is he didnt have the PCIe cable, thats easy enough though as I can order online for like $2, but it seem my computer has nowhere for the other end to plug in. Do i really have to drop $50 for a power source or is there something im missing. Thanks

Solution
The R7-260X requires a 450W PSU. If your 3010 is the MT, it only has a 265W PSU. The DT and SFF models are even smaller. And I doubt Dell left an unused Molex connector available to use a Molex to PCIe adapter (bad idea anyway).

I'm afraid you either need to get a bigger PSU or a different gfx card.
