Question Optiplex 390 compatibility with i5- 3740

Hello , does anyone know if there is any known modded bios that enables intel core i5 - 3470 to be compatible with optiplex 390 motherboard? Thanks

Dell uses a couple of motherboards, but I was able to install an i5 - 3470 on a Optiplex 390 SFF with the A11 BIOS.

Can I downgrade from a14 to a11 and then try? Or is there no point?

The A14 version could also support the i5-3470 .
Dell systems support BIOS downgrade, but I have never perform one.

Idk why but when I put i5 inside, it reboots 2 times, then turns on but there is nothing on screen

Reset the BIOS.
Power off and unplug power cord.
Press and hold power button for 20 seconds.
Remove the CMOS battery.
After a couple of minutes, reinsert the CMOS battery.
Plug the power cord and power on the PC.
Press F2 to get into the BIOS.
Change any settings as you may want, save and exit.
